ITINERARY:    

DAY 1 - Tucumán - Tafí del Valle
Arrival in San Miguel de Tucumán airport. After signing the car rental contract you will be free to head for the city of Tuchman where you can visit the main points of interest. Then we suggest starting the trip to Tafí del Valle (120 km – paved road). Take RN 38 till Famaillá and from there continue by RP307. On the way you will pass through Quebrada de los Sosas, Starting point of the Calchaqui Valleys. Accommodation Tafí del Valle.

DAY 2 - Tafí del Valle - Cafayate

Start the trip by RP307, At 23km from Tafí, the route pass through the spectacular Abra del Infiernillo, at 3042 masl. Arrival at the crossing with RN40 and continue to Cafayate. On the way you can visit the Quilmes ruins.

In Cafayate you can visit not only the many excellent wineries where you can taste the famous torrontes but

Also visit the Quebrada de las Conchas 68 km far from the city, with its unique rock formations like the amphitheater, the obelisk, the castle. etc 

Return to Cafayate. Accommodation.

DAY 3 - Cafayate - Cachi

From Cafayate to Cachi you will go through the mythical RN40 (the largest in the country). When arriving to the little town of Motions, you can visit Bodega Colomé, one of the highest grown vineyards in the world at 3100 meters above sea level. Their wines are unique due to the large temperature fluctuations from night to day and produce distinctive and world-class wines noted for their
Malbec and Torrontes.

Arriving in Cachi you cannot miss the museum and the old church Accommodation in Cachi.

DAY 4 - Cachi - Salta

This beautiful way goes through Parque Nacional Los Cordons, until the Tin Tin route (built by the Incas). The highest point in the road is Piedra del Molino, at 3348mosl. Continuing by the spectacular Cuesta del Obispo, until Salta.

DAY 5 - Salta

This day we suggest visiting the city, the Cathedral and San Francisco church .The MAAM Museum with its Lllullaillaco mummies. Accommodation in Salta 


DAY 6 Salta - San Antonio de los Cobres - Purmamarca

This is the longest day of the trip buy may be the most beautiful. You will depart early in the morning To San Antonio de dos Cobres following the tracks of the Train to the Clouds


You will cross the Quebrada del Toro which will take you to 3800 masl, facing marvelous views of the Andes, before reaching Salinas Grandes a 120 square kilometers salt dessert. You will take then the impressive Lipan’s Hill which descends to Purmamarca a little town with adobe houses built at the foot of the Seven Color Hill

DAY 7: Purmamarca - Quebrada de Humahuaca - Salta

This day you will tour the entire Humahuaca Valley, stopping at different small towns each one with its own enchant, beginning with Tilcara and its interesting Pucara. Immediately after crossing the tropic of Capricorn Uquia appear with its lovely chapel. By the end of the circuit you will reach Humahuaca, an ancient post of the Inca empire.
On the way back to Salta you will enjoy the lights effect over the famous Painter’s Palette in Maimara.
