ITINERARY:    

Day 1: Welcome at the airport and transfer to the selected boutique hotel

Day 2: Following breakfast enjoy a private walking tour of Lima. This excursion combines Lima's residential, financial and colonial districts. Beginning by the cliff tops in Miraflores, admire the views over the Pacific Ocean whilst walking to the small Parque del Amor, famous for its romantic  statue of two lovers embracing.  Continue to 'Huaca Pucllana', a pre-Inca temple of the fifth century, before arriving in the financial district of San Isidro, an elegant suburb with olive grove. Afterwards, local transportation takes you to the outskirts of central Lima where you continue on foot - passing through the baroque Torre Tagle Palace, currently used as the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs - to the Plaza de Armas, Lima's grandiose historic main square home to the Cathedral, Presidential and Archbishop's palaces.  A pause for a snack at Tanta Restaurant  owned by famous Peruvian chef Gastón Acurio is included to sample a typical Peruvian dish.  Expect to walk  for around 3 hours.
